Open to all friends and strangers: I need a co-driver for a Road Rally this weekend in the countrysides of Baltimore and Harford Counties in Maryland and southern York County in Pennsylvania.
No cost to you. You just have to sit next to me and help me drive!
Don’t think about it, just say yes.

I would love to join you, except that I live in Nova Scotia!
This would be a Time-Speed-Distance Rally, I assume? If so, not stage rally like you are likely referring to @Ash78! :)
I did a lot of TSD rallies when I was younger as a co-driver, would love to get back into it someday - they are great fun, I can vouch for it if anybody cares to join you! :D

This is my first road rally ever. I think it’s closer to the former (time-speed-distance) rather than the latter. It’s not a balls-to-the-wall off-road race.
They’re supposed to be incorporating clues and questions into the instructions somehow.

Yup, that’s how TSD rallies work. I was in the Novice Class when I didd mine last, but the Advanced class used riddles and backwards instructions, etc, etc to try an trick you where to go!
The whole point of TSD is not to be fastest, but to exactly MATCH the time the organizers have from driving between one checkpoint and another at the speed limit, etc - any amount of time you are over or under that time by gives you points and the more points you earn, the worse you are doing. You still get the chance for some spirited driving as along the way almost everybody makes a mistake or two somewhere and you have to either guesstimate or calculate how much you are late by and speed up or slow down to match what you think the time is.

I live pretty close to that area, but will have to pass due to total incompetence and inexperience.

My wife would say no. I’d have to follow her around for a few days with this expression.

I’d love to but live in Michigan and don’t have the money for a road trip right now. Plus I just got t boned by a guy who ran a red so I’m not the best in cars right now due to some pain and the mental and emotional trauma.
